    The Woman in Me

    "The Woman in Me"

    Not knowing who I am
    Remebering who I was

Wanting to know what I'll become
To know how far I will go

    Loving with all my soul
Getting hurt over and over again

    Trying to be happy
    But usually sad

How can I change who I am
To become the woman I want to be

But who is this woman? Where is she?
Is she lost in the past from the hurt she's been through
Or somewhere in the future that no one can reach

    Looking out, looking in
Hope I can find the woman with in
    The one that is happy,
The one I can not see, that is looking back at me....

WOW. I am at that point right now too. I am searching for myself but I am not able to see who I am and what I should be. You have moved me once again.

that is some introspection there... aren't we all but human? great poem (despite a typo there, lol)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
