    An Idea 2

Idea or ideal what’s fiction, what’s real?
Is the question that burns in my heart?
To love or to hate, to kiss on that date
Are the things that set me apart?
Only love when you can it’s not that convenient
To open your heart that way
But if you do try it, and you can’t deny it,
It might just be the perfect day
Sometimes it hurts to show that you care,
But it’s healthy to feel some pain
That’s why I keep writing and often reciting
To help all my pain, go away
To laugh and to smile and find love for a while
Is the dream I try to achieve
But at times I do know , and really don’t show
That sometimes I really don’t believe.
In love or myself like a vise or a belt
Are the restrictions I put on my heart
They say it is better to love and to lose
But I say never love from the start

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
