Another Spin on DISCIPLINE

Another Spin on DISCIPLINE

If you think corporal punishment works, then you're clearly out of your mind.
Hitting and slapping and beating a behind, is the very worse discipline of its kind.
Teaching is the key to raising kids its only way you will soon acknowledge and find.

Now raising the young is not easy, it's true.
The say what you say and do what you do
So handle all affairs carefully be they old or new.

Now I don't mean to imply that children should run wild as fire,
Their actions will wear you out and cause you to tire
AND you might even have to find a Nanny 911 to hire.

So hear is my word about discipline, it's mostly just teaching right from wrong.
Unfortunately, sometimes the process lasts their whole life long,
I can only write prose, or I'd give this worldly advise in a song.

Now teaching can be easy as A,B,C or simple like in 1, 2, 3;
A is for the reward that starts the behavior, you see
B is for the behavior that is given and C is for the final reward from you or me.

The a, b, c is the basic of understanding
Behavior in part takes hold as from the rewards that we are handing
And C- it will take hold or leave depending upon the the kind of reward it gets as it is landing.

Now as we move on to the part of 1, 2, 3,
One- is for the things they see
Important as they watch all moves made by you or me.

Number two- as they listen to what you say.
Even more than you know they listen each day
For tone, volume, and pitch during work and play.

Number three- sadly last but not least and most important of all,
They watch every move you make in the car, courthouse, or mall.
So you must watch yourself and in all that you do- yes, it's an order that is tall.

Now on to the finale of this discipline trial; Putting it all together is the very last mile,
But take a breather now and manage a smile;

Because all you do without the hitting and corporal stuff and other
And applying the A,B,C and the 1,2,3, should be easy, my brother;
Because when all is said and done it may teach the children to love one another.
