    Life's Weather

Peace and rest; quiet and calm.

The whispers of the silent winds,

Time for the silver lining of the storm clouds.

Lightning flashes a gentle reminder of chaos past.

The innocent tears fall no longer

And the disturbances are left behind.

The hurricanes of real life are in the eye.

It is easy to see the good now in hindsight.

Is this serene and calmness a reward?

Or is it a renewal for the next thunder of life?

    Why question this tranquility?

    Enjoy, breathe, exhale, relax, smile

The pleasure of moments should shine upon us.

When we enjoy the cool breezes

    We can weather any blizzard.

keep the perspective of life's climate

Look at the day as part sunny not part cloudy.

Enjoy the rain as liquid sunshine.

Life's weather of peace and calm is more enjoyable

If the stormy, rainy, gray snowy days are also enjoyed.

    good positive viewpoint

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
