    Bellybutton

Joshua's still in his T-shirt” said My nephew of his brother, imploring me to look as I tried to eat my cereal.

I didn't look up, “Joshua's still in his T-shirt!” he said louder ,in that whinny eight year old voice, “look, his T-shirt has a bellybutton on it!”

now I looked up, and he was right, the T-shirt did have a bellybutton on it, and Joshua wasn't wearing a T-shirt, I smiled, I've been wearing the same shirt for five years now, its flinty and slightly bigger than it should be, I need to take that one off, and this facial thing ive been wearing...this smile..that's got to go as well, I need to see me naked, I haven't seen my soul in forever, and I don t mean to be strange or crude, but next time I see you, dear reader, I sincerely hope its in the nude.

clever, comical, witty and immensely poetic. The t-shirt theme keeps the reader wondering throughout the poem. I love this prose. ginga

That was very interesting, and entertaining. great job!

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
