    Picking your nose

I bet your thinking, right now, that picking your nose( yes, hold that pose) is among the last things you want to do, but wow, I wish I was given the chance, as a child, to pick my nose; to look through the files of all the worlds noses, and pick one, aquiline or snub, the way you select daisy’s instead of roses, you see the humble nose knows how to sneak up on you in stories and such, Rudolf, Pinocchio, and always as much the defining character of the story, as the character in the story, you can do about as many things with your nose as you could with your hair, from the smudge to the wiggle to the flare, but then why pick your nose? why not your eyes or your ears , well search and try as I might, it appears, the nose is one of only two of your facial functions that functions for more than one reason( and I truly doubt that I want to pick my mouth), so reason has it, that the nose is first in line, with the others close behind, but because as with many things, you do not get to pick, the nose you have, is the one that must stick, yet as though remembering some ancient ritual forgone, whenever we find ourselves bored or thoughtful or forlorn, our fingers linger a little longer by our noses than they should, hoping in vain, having never picked the thing itself, then at least pick out of it, some good.
