    Black As I Can Be

I'm black as I can be
Dark brown from top to bottom
    No freckles, no sun spots
Smooth to the touch, skin so soft
I'm black as I can be
I love my tone, I glow under the rays
And every color looks good on me
    I'm kissed by the sun
I'm black as I can be
Toasted just right, not over cooked
Plump in all the right places
    Sweet as chocolate
And I taste quite the same
    Black coffee without the cream
I'm your fantasy, your forbidden dream
I'm black as I can be
    Well done, dark brown girl

    black gold. beautiful./the prophet

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
