Why Do I Love So Hard

Why is it so easy for me to love
Without looking, I jump head first into this love game
My heart wide open, and it still feels the same
Nothings new under the sun, I was once told
But yet I love so strong and bold
    Craving for someone to understand
My deepest fears, and my dreams
He's not what I had in mind though it seems
Why do I love so hard
Just to avoid the nights alone
The emptiness in my mind, the passion's gone
Even the intimacy in the word love is no longer appealing
So why do I love like I do
    The world revolves around you
From the moment I wake, till the last breath I take
    It's all for you
    Though I feel incomplete
    Due to the defeat
    Of loves heartbreak
So why do I love this way

It's what you were made to do. (Smile)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
