    Burn It Down

    Burn It Down

    I’m through,
    with you.
    There is nothing,
    left to do.
    I am tired,
    of running around.
    I am going to,
    burn it down.

    Burn it down,
    up in fire.
    No way to,
    quench my desire.

    I’m tired of trying,
    to make you smile.
    You have brought me down,
    so, so many miles.
    You can go back,
    where you were found.
    Set me free,
    burn it down.

    Burn it down,
    up in fire.
    No way to,
    quench my desire.
    You can leave,
    you are a liar.
    Burn it down,
    up in fire.

    I read your notes,
    filled with hate.
    You want to leave,
    you cannot wait.
    You can go,
    where ever your bound.
    Leave me the matches,
    burn it down.

    Burn it down,
    up in fire.
    No way to,
    quench my desire.

    Burn it down,
    away in the fire.

Great write...I agree w/ Allegra that this is a really lyrical piece which could easily double as a song....

I see potential for a song here. I like it a lot.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
