    One For The Record Books

    One For The Record Books

    Wall street crashed,
    in late 08.
    The economy way down,
    with no brakes.
    The rich got richer,
    from all they took.
    This is one time,
    one for the record books.

    One for the,
    record books.
    We cannot run,
    from greedy hooks.

    People will always wonder,
    just what went wrong.
    Why the rich man dances,
    to a poor mans song.
    I guess they are,
    just a bunch of crooks.
    This is one time,
    one for the record books.

    One for the,
    record books.
    We cannot run,
    from greedy hooks.
    It only takes,
    just one look.
    This is one for,
    the record books.

    The time will come,
    when they meet their lord.
    They will be broke,
    Heaven they cannot afford.
    They will fall from King,
    to pawns and rooks.
    This is one time,
    one for the record books.

    One for the,
    record books.
    We cannot run,
    from greedy hooks.

    This time is history,
    one for the record books.

Like your style.... This is DEF one for the record books LOL.... Crazy times....perhaps you'd like my "Desperate Times" of a similiar theme but different perspective....

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
