Change Gon' Come

Change Gon' Come

When you're walking down the path of life

And darkness closes in

When your back is bent from all the strife

And you feel you'll never win

When you put your shoulder to the wheel

And still the cart won't budge

When you've let your child know how you feel

And still she holds a grudge

When the ones you used to hold so dear

Stab you through the heart

When you've done your best to always be there

And still get ripped apart

When you rack your brains and search your soul

And still you just don't know

When the stress from the struggle takes it toll

And it's phukkin' with your flow

When your back's against the proverbial wall

And the wolves are at your door

When no one's there to break your fall

And pick you up off the floor

When you feel you've reached the end of your rope

Dig down where strength comes from

You've got to have faith renew your hope

Remember: Change Gon' Come!

I believe it! I receive it

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
