    Dawn of Humanity

    Just another lover and I
With the question we both try and hide

    Consumed by the passion
    Still ignoring the question

My mind is full of shame and grime
Because I don't even know his name

Yet two strangers staring as they lay
After passionate love making for that day

As one, but not the same
As they raise to the dawn of shame

With just another lover with no name
Rising to the dawn of humanity

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
