Days pass on, seem like an eternity
My thoughts are in a tranquil state; I'm serene
The devil is trying to tempt me in his web of deception
I try and fight him, but its hard to fight the temptation
He's knocking in my mind with manipulation
I have to be strong before I face the punishment
Do I have the strength to stop what I am thinking of doing
Do I have the strenght to stop him from pursuing
Can I fight hard enough and stop these cravings
Or will I give into the temptation and become its slave
My longing and yearning for love is taking over my mind
The devil is so clever, knowing that the flesh is so weak
Just then a knock at the door, its him my male friend
Now I'm really on fire, my heart is now bleeding
I finally give into what my flesh now wants
The attraction is so hard to fight
Its over, I'm smacked into reality
Now regreting that I gave into the temptation
Engulfed in silence, feeling smothered
Thank God, with temptation you can be forgiven
Forgiveness from Jesus Christ on how you are living
