Demon Seed

Demon Seed

A tremor from the womb
The feind’s earthly tomb
Sends jolts of pain through the spine

A devilish groan
Preceeding a hideous moan
Makes the body go numb and sublime

This hellish evil
Seeded by the Devil
Aches to break into this world

A heart of stone
And conceit so bold
Is pining to make creation go cold

So take the dagger
Stab it in the breast
Dig it deep in
And abide the Dark Lord’s behest

Bring out his heir
Into the earth
Let destruction follow
And all fall in dust and dirt

This is what we fear
This is what we in nightmares’s hear
Living a life of utter neglect
Of the demon nurtured by our intellect

This is the moment to be strong and real
To let the mortals know what you feel
This day on they will extoll you
And glory will follow your life all through

Wow! Sometimes I feeel that I am an exception but to do nothing makes me just as bad!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
