Feeling In The Past
I walk through my life with a pain inside
A hurt that has left me love blind
But sometimes when I lie cold and alone
I think about the days when my heart had flown
Her eyes spoke the same words that my heart did
She had gauged all the feelings that I had hid
But by the time I could divulge my thoughts
She had been poisoned by the world’s evil wroughts
Now my soul is hollow and perception shallow
Still I live on in the hope of tomorrow
A pleasant dawn in my life of despair
To flood it again with affection and care
If I am wrong then please set me right
Show me the way out of this night
Let this sorrow be my last
And help me stop feeling in the past
