Fireflies

Fireflies

Fireflies
dance atop
my head

flying over
the fields of dried wheat
and lush green grass

once it's twilight they come
sparkling against the night skies
to search for their lost ones

shooting hope from their light to my heart
providing me with the sight to see
a life beyond the means of light
