FOCUS

FOCUS

You need to focus on you
No.
We all need a subject.
An object;
something to build around.

A portrait is such a lonely picture.
A self-portrait, much worse.

Open the shutter
and let in the light.
The darkness surrounding you
does nothing for your features.

Blow it up.
Warp it.
Crop it, rotate
It is still only you
focusing on you
while everything else

fades.

blurs.

Mr. Cullen, this piece emits a powerful message. I like the simplicity and truth merged together. A good piece to read. Thank you for sharing it! God bless :))

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
