Poem Commentary

I mighttttttt add more, but I'm not sure yet...

Given Up

Quiet, Isolated
you hear no voice but your own.
Sad, Lonely
no one there but you.
Angry, Intimidated
Why does this only happen to you?
Resigned, Unwated
You've finally given up.
A singe tear
tracks down your face.
Your heart throbs in your chest.
Never ending spirals of dark
Swarming your mind.
Never going to find your way out,
it consumes you.
Have you given up so soon?

You have a great pattern going in the beginning, I would be interested to see what you could do if you stuck with it for the whole poem.

I don't think I did...Dx But whatever. xP

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
