God's Rose

God's Rose

God's most beautiful rose stood out with no thorns, and wept with a sort
of peaceful mourn.  All of the other roses were beautiful in their own

way, a thorn here, a thorn there, but not long would they stay- some

the color bright red as blood, while others merely little rose buds. From

front to back the roses took their stand, as a garden, perfectly planted

in God's mighty hand, all seeming to reflect faith, joy peace and love,

but the most beautiful rose God sent from above!

Nice expressive poem written with simple honesty and clarity. You should be proud you did a very nice job.

Thanks! It's nice to get a reply to a poem. God's Rose is one of my favorites.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
