Somebody Cares

You were hurting last night, your pain was embedded deep-

I longed for you to speak to me before you went to sleep-

You could've told me about your every care, but instead you carried on,

as though I were not there-

I really could'nt blame you, because life's trials do not rest,

but how can I help you, if you do not make known your requests?

I came that you might have life, and life aboundantly, so please my

dear child, cast all your cares on me.

Love, Father God!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
