God's second chance for me
I never thought the day would come that I could see
to learn to appreciate all the things that he has done for me
I get on my knees and lift my hands to pray that he forgives me
he answers with a gentle voice "You will always be my child and I will always love and forgive thee"
they say everytime it rains that means God is always crying
now its time for me to fly right so my mother and my father can stop their crying
I ask God for forgiveness for all that I have sinned
also I pray to God that I don't go down those same roads and do it ever again
I want to be the person God blessed me to be at birth
so that I can rise again from God's beautiful green earth
I know this chance that God has given to me
will not only bless me but as well as for my familt
people always use to say that I would never make it
but like in the song "I never would have made it without you"

I stand tall and hold my head up high and never down low
and I pray to God everyday that I never fall back down below
I know how I have said in the past how I was gone change and do things right
but now that I totally have faith in God I know everything will be alright
I really look forward for all the things that God has stored for me
and that's why I am so grateful for......................................................
