    Heartsong

    Heartsong

If you could listen to my hearts song

    You would hear it singing

    “I’ve loved you all along”

    It sings gleefully

    For you my love

    Will forever be the chorus

    Singing in my soul

    Likened to the Spanish moss

that hangs from the live oak trees of Georgia

My love cascades on a vine

Waiting for you to join me

    Where our lives intertwine

Spreading our roots to the ground

Where love digs into the soil

    Creating the most sacred

    Of sight and sound

    The growth of love ascending

To the top of the trees

    And beneath us firmly planted

    all around

    Then this will be

    The most perfect of melodies

    Combining our love

For all to gaze upon and see

    This hearts song
