    Poem Commentary

This is for my beautiful daughter, the meaning of my life.

    In my arms

My life changed the day they put you in my arms.
There were no words. The joy was so overwhelming,
the tears swallowed my face. To have something that's
all mine, that came from me, it was the happiest
moment ever. I've watched you grow and change, and
learn new things, I will always be here for you.
You're  the apple of my eye, the beat of my heart,  I'll
keep you safe, we will never be apart. I never know
what tomorrow brings, you surprise my everyday,
Mommy loves you dearly, in my arms, you will stay.

Now this is exactly what a good, loving mother should sound like...and I love it! Some mom's are so busy with their own lives that the kid's get in their way, and they resent them...so sad.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
