    In the Silence

    Silence follows
    the turn of his head,
    never turned this way
    Silence follows
    the path of his eyes,
    eyes that speak
    what lips will not admit
    Silence follows
    the smile of his attraction,
a smile seen but never felt

    In the silence that follows
    a heart silently cries
    In the silence that follows
    a love silently dies

There's little compares to the harsh cruelty of silence; between two people who have so much to talk about; but, don't... This is an excellent short write... You have an amazing gift for saying so much with such a clean and concise brevity... Well done...

Short, concise and silence is how most things die. Love this. Sally

Poetically rich Jaycee! You crafted a wonderful philosophy about love. You are amazing with short pieces. I feeli I have to read a book to express myself sometimes! :)) Love ya! God bless!

Thank you, I value your thoughts and opinions.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
