    The scale

    There is always
    that brief moment
    of hope
    and
    anticipation
    before
    the numbers
    reflect
    the reality, unchanged.

There's always a certain anxiety during the short pause after punching in the numbers for a problem in a calculator or any kind of tabulation program to summarize the math... When the last digit is entered, and you click =, or Enter, the results are forthcoming... Every H&R Block visit is a mystery when you walk in... Reality is the tale of the tape when you walk out... Another good, short write...

    Thanks!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
