Journey to Heaven

Journey to Heaven

Sweet romance and parted lips

Clothes are off, we’re hip to hip

Dancing love’s sweet lullaby

Each tender kiss unleashing its sigh

Passion burns in hazy eyes

The fire starts and tension dies

Caressing hands convey their love

Bringing us so high above

The world’s a shadow, far below

As we dance higher, nice and slow

Among the stars, gravity’s gone

And we hold on until the dawn

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
