Regret

Missing you more than ever

Remembering what we had together

Thinking that I want you back

Realizing without you, what I lack

Knowing you were right and I was wrong

Regretting I didn’t know it all along

Wanting to just hold your hand, but then

Wishing it was that easy to start again

Hoping that you still love me

Loving you, I keep praying you’ll see

Wondering what you’re thinking about

Seeing that you, I can’t live without

Hurting because I know I hurt you

Confused about just what to do

Understanding you might not want me back

Praying you will despite what I lack

Dreaming dreams of us getting back together

Desiring to stay in that dream forever

Imagining how amazing it was, and could be

Scared of hurting you and hurting me

Contemplating why I don’t let people get close

Running out of excuses that everybody knows

Feeling like I should have told you so much more

Hating myself for always closing that door

Discovering how truly amazing you are

Learning I had to discover all this from afar.
