Poem Commentary

When I wrote this poem, I really wanted to try to think out of the box. I had thought before that poems had to rhyme, to me it was like a heart beat. But my perception changed after writing this.

Just a Nudge Was All She Needed

September 3rd, 2012

Little children running down the street,
The pitter patter of their feet.
A beat I feel, A worried tune,
A sound that could make lonely hearts swoon.
You must seek more from life than to be true.
If you seek more you'll unmask pieces of you.
There's no need anymore to feel sorrow or shy,
Because we realized.
Tonight.
That we must look past the sky.
