Poem Commentary

To me, this poem meant that I had finally realized what I needed to do to be happy(: I had figured out that the problem, was the relationship I was in. It wasn't healthy for me mentally what so ever. I'm just happy I found my way out(:

Pursuit of Happiness

November 8th, 2012

Mind over matter,
Your body, your being
Your disguised essence kindles my fire
Contemplating the contributing factors to my stable sanity,
My mind grows.
Not all thought must be illistrated in speach.
For the strongest of beings tend to keep to themselves.
Thus, in order to keep my composer cemented and at ease,
My mental and physical being must keep it's distance.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
