    Late

Late at night i lay awake and wonder why?
Why it had to end this way?
    Why you said goodbye?
I see you in my mind, I dream of only you
I hear your voice, I feel your touch, I know this must be true.
I dread the moment dawn will break
    because now i lay awake
all alone in my emty bed
    hoplessly loving my biggest mistake.
I wish i could say, "im sorry" for the games that we have played
    For in the end...
    Two wounded hearts shall pay.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
