    Mommy & You

    To: Rose Marie Miller
You are and always will be a filler.
You had my heart from the start and my love from day one,
I knew that after I had you that mommy was done.
Now you are at the terrible twos and waring me out all day,
But what can mommy really say.
I watch you grow-up so fast,
That I know it wont last.
I dred the day you say "I do",
    To I don't know who.
As long as he makes you as happy as you make me,
Just remeber mommy's love is always free.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
