    MAN'S BEST FRIEND

I stood with my eyes towards the sky
And I ask my God the reason why
Why are sufferings so rampant on this earth?
Is this all that life is worth?

Some will live and some will die
But we watch helplessly while our children cry?
Will you ever intervene? I asked my God
But the answer is in my heart, and it’s very sad

He has given us the authority to care for ourselves
But we have become greedy and we care for no one else
There is enough food on this earth to share for everyone
But for his own selfishness, man has dominated man.

Now it’s time for everyone to see
The pain, the heartache and the misery
    When will this ever end?
When will man be man’s best friend?
