THE CREATOR

THE CREATOR

I looked in the sky

And I wonder why

Why is it that men refuse to acknowledge the Creator

when in all the heavens, there is none greater

than He who with the words of his mouth

created men, who in turn doubt

that He exists

when the morning mist,

the rumbling of the thunder

is a reminder

that the creator lives

He lives in the wind that passes our faces

and in all the empty spaces

He watches us as we go our ways

and He guides the sun that

turns the night into days

He guides our heart away from evil

and gives us strength over the devil

He is the creator who cares for us all

and guides our feet lest we fall

Very nice, a different and surprising rhythm. Your use of Assonance is the grabber on this one. it flows nicely and the variation between syllables and meter makes it read almost like an essay.

Thats a very good and thouching poem. I love the fact that you can see creation in things not everyone can see it in!! Very good job! Keep writing!

Thanks.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
