Meet You In Heaven

Meet You In Heaven

I'll race you to the ground.
I won because I'm here.
You're not welcome anyway.
Desiring this is queer.

You can come and visit,
let me know you don't forget;
but never stay too long.
You owe to me no debt.

I loved you for a lifetime.
Don't waste your tears on me.
Recall me in elation,
And live on happily.

Once you've persevered,
Lived full and satisfied,
You're welcome in my bed
To be forever unified. <3

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
