    Morning Love

    As I arose this morning
I watched you in your sleep
    Such a beautiful expression
    One which I'll always keep

Your sunlit hair, your precious smile
My love, I dare to say
The way it feels to be with you
On the start of a brand new day

Outside the birds begin thier songs
As they sing, I look at you
And watch your face begin to glow
Bringing out the lve in you

For so long now, I've been away
But our dream is closing in
And the morning sheds a new light on
    The life we'll soon begin

    In capturing this moment
There's nothing more that I can say
Except I promise you this mood will last
    Through each entire day

Your eyelids crack, you softly smile
Then seal the moment with a kiss
I feel the warmth from head to toe
For I live for times like this

Let's go on living day to day
And all our problems rise above
And always feel what we're feeling now
    This special Morning Love.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
