    Poem Commentary

Love poetry with a professional wrestling joke. Ohhhh Yeaaah

    most likely a bad idea

This ring is several sizes too big
losing feeling in every finger tip
    a hand painted  message
etched into condensation outside your window reads:

If I make it through this winter I hope to see you again.

I could spend decades listing the reasons why.

    Like a tilted pitcher words
                                              spill
                                                     from
                                                            my
                                                                 mouth

Filling every crevice till it bursts and they flood out

this is a scar on the face of romance

my love is savage like Randy

    losing ground
    losing time
    watching every chance drift by

    hands reach for me
they'll scratch the light from my eyes
try to pull theses thoughts from my mind
but they won't leave without a fight

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
