    Mountain Walk

    Walking deep through these  mountains
across streams with you in my mind
wind on my face and dew on the grass
leaving all my past and life behind.

    Setting peacefully in grassy meadows
enjoying a bright warm morning sun
thoughts of one very special woman
my heart knowing she is the one.

Watching the birds and deer at play
seeing your face in the clouds above
these walks deep into these mountains
brings my heart close to you my love.

Finding great wealth in a vain of gold
turned into love that feeds my heart
walking these hills the richest man
my gold is you holding my loving heart.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
