    true tear's

    My giving heart again silenced
returns back to a heart of stone
though I've tried to give this heart
    its condemned to being alone.

Ive cried and cried but to know avail
it seems i am condemned to hell
these old eyes have seen so much pain
only a few have seen my gain.

again i cry out loudly to my Lord
oh God do you see my cry
i just wish to be held and loved
just once before i am old and die.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
