    My Faith

I've searched for most of my life.
    I've sampled and tried
    Tasted and served
Cried for, begged for, lied for
    Wanted to die for.

    It was never there.
    It takes more than one.
    Not just in my selfishness
    You know it does.

Through all the years of my Journey
    I've gotten Your messages.
    Usually at a funeral
    or resting On
    the Christian television channel

    -I Am The One-
    I heard it.
    It didn't seem exciting enough
    at the time.
Or maybe I just didn't get it
    Wasn't ready
    So I searched on.

I found it in the eyes of my Children
And my Childs Child: twice my Child.
    Blessed with two
Such a gift of Love from You.
    I didn't recognize it
    Now I do.

    I'm reaching for the Light
    Ready to make my amends
    Be grateful for my gifts.
    I am, you know.
    I've enjoyed them.
    Thank You.

You know my heart is true in You.
You see beyond the things I do.
    I love You.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
