Pain

The world was once a pretty place
And now it's cold and black
I look in the mirror hoping to see me
Instead there is a stranger looking back
I'm lost, alone, a shell of what once existed
Hallowed out by the termites of my life
Eaten alive, I don't know how I'll survive
A piece of wood that's lost adrift
At the sea of my failed life

you can not have lived half your life yet how can you say its failed . You are a great writer dont let life get you down .

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
