And the bottom line is.......
The pain, agony, and torment i've endured
at the expense of your so-called mercy,
cripples me to my knees in tears.
Forcing me to believe that
abuse, abandonment, and neglect
is the bitter harsh reality of love.
Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
