    "Friends"

    The air of happiness is all around;
    With the friendship we have found.

    Just like a midnight summer's breeze;
    Life has become so relaxed and at ease.

    The precious moments we have spent;
    Have been just like they were heaven sent.

    With each day that has long gone past;
    I'm wishing and hoping that this might last.

    The comfort I feel when we are near;
    Takes away my woes and fears.

    The sun will rise, the sun will set;
    I'll thank God for the day we met.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
