Sands of time

Sands of time

The sands of time swept away by Love’s dim fate.
A story of peace marred by pain and hate.

Signs and wonders the world may see.
But do you know what can heal me?

This journey I’m on is one of loneliness and pain.
My happy world shattered at the mention of a name.

Love and Hate.
Joy and Fate.
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust.
The steel pillars of my love have turned to rust.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
