self-pity-party

self-pity-party

Put me in a corner
If I dare not do your will
Dis-remember that I exist
Forget me forever and until

Put me in a corner
Throw a fit; a tantrum or two
Delete from your memory my name
Until I bow to what you want me to do

Put me in a corner
I am your puppet on a string-a-ling
A radio with mute and multi dials
To be adjusted at your will

Put me in a corner
Only God has love for me
To others I’m just a legal tolerance
That drives me near to insanity

Put me in a corner
A corner of your’ all mind
Lock the door; dash weh di key
Now my mind will never opine.

This could also be called "A Godly view." Cuz, you know howwedoit.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
