    Poem Commentary

Frickin job.  13 years down the drain.  It never ceases to amaze me, that the people at the top, who do the least work, make the most pay,
and then turn around and want to pay YOU on the merit system.  Thank goodness I'm out.  I'm better off.  Fresh start. Frickin job!

    Shake, Shake, Rattle and Roll

Shake, shake, rattle and roll, Jack....
At last, I got my soul back.
    A fourteen carat gold plaque.
    A fond farewell bouquet.
Shake, shake, rattle and roll, Man....
I'll lay out on the pure sand,
    get myself a wicked tan.
    A party-pack cache.

Shake, shake, rattle and roll, Girl....
I'm gonna don a string of pearls,
and whirl, and swirl, and twirlie twirl,
    and dance the night away.
Shake, shake, rattle and roll, Now....
    I swear I'll take a solemn vow,
to live like I'm the cat's meow,
    and never go astray.

Shake, shake, rattle and roll, You....
I'll drink myself a honey brew,
and chomp down on a chocolate chew.
    I finally feel whole.
Shake, shake, rattle and roll, My....
At long last kissed that job goodbye.
Pie in the sky, I can't deny.
    Shake, shake, rattle and roll.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
