    Sitting here

I sit at my window seal looking down at the road below
Wondering if everyone has secrets in which the with hold
Stories of their lives that they wish not to tell.
Afraid of being judged and confronted for something
    That they have done wrong.

    But how do they know?
How does anyone know what others think?
Why do we worry of what other people think?
What's the point of with holding secrets if you love someone?

As I sit here peering down on the people walking these worn down streets
I wonder whats so important to hide from people.
If they are going to get hurt later any way?
As I wonder these things I relize I'm just as guilty.

Maybe we need to make a change in this world and not hold secrets
But then again it may just cause more problems.
But what about always telling the truth?
There are so many questions as to this I now relize

But its just a thought as I sit here in my window seal

Thank you it just came to me in like 2 minutes

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
