What's Going On?

Poem Commentary

This poem is for all the people that have been effected by child abuse.

What's Going On?

As the daylight goes by.
I'm not ready to go home.
Knowing what will happen in my room.
While everybody else in the world sleeps.

I'm being beat by you!
Is this a dream or is it real?
Will I wake up or will I not?
Will you allow me to survive a strike?

You've hurt my mom
She's down stairs knocked out blue.
Like a baby that doesn't know what to do.
Because your messed up on boos.

I'm asking you what did I do?
For you to do this to me.
I'm just a kid stuck here with you.
Who's being beat because your wanting to.

Tell me what did I do.
To get to be the one that has the bruises
Because you decided to do child abuse.

I understand, I suffered from child abuse so when I saw how you went about it, I just found it odd. I liked how you went on how you felt though and your stanza were nicely formed.

It was a very different view of child abuse. I mean to come up and rhyme about it, I am not sure if thats such a great choice~Alis
