We’re living in a concrete world, with buildings roads and walks all swirled
Towers tall that climb forever, laws are followed almost never
Everywhere there is now city, with freedom gone we live in pity
We’ve covered up our mother earth, and marked way down what she is worth
Who would guess that all production, would lead us now to our distruction
Country life a gifted past, city life just moves to fast
There’s no grass where we once played, or any trees to grant us shade
Our eco system’s very frail, the air we breathe is awfully stale
To look around you’ll see a mourner, people die on every corner
Life on earth is very sad, people here have all gone mad
I’m not sure and I’m just guessing, dying now ma be a blessing
I see a world that’s quite in shock, I don’t think we’ll save this rock
Apocalypse is just a notion, Armageddon, will bring emotion
Hell has come to be immense, we fight a battle that is intense
We will find that we are liable, we must live within the bible
Our earth is going without a hope, we’ll do our best and only cope
I fear it’s time that this be said, our dear planets almost dead
Opportunities missed so long, it’s to late to fix what’s wrong

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
