Poem Commentary

couldn't sleep..
wrote this in about five minutes,
definitely not my best work..

Sorrow..

A young girl took out a knife,
Trying to find relief, from all her Sorrow,
Tired of living this hopeless life,
One more cut, and there would be no tomorrow.

A man went to the cabinet and pulled out a bottle,
Tried to drink away all of his Sorrow.
Got on his bike, held down the throttle,
For him, there would be no tomorrow.

A soldier wakes up from his bad dreams,
Desperate for a way, to rid this Sorrow,
He ties a rope around the garage beam,
No more air, and no more tomorrow.

We're all trapped here,
So let's all escape this Sorrow,
Say I Love You to the ones that are dear,
Let's all wake up to no tomorrow..

We've all definitely been there at least a few times, encompassed with sorrow and searching for a way out. A great write, hope you were able to find some sleep after writing.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
