    SPRING OF THE RAINBOW

Bright colours of beauty and hopeIndicators of the eagle’s eyesAnd great industry of the little antsThe resoluteness of the fragile mushroomAnd the challenging courage of the sunThe magnificent craft of the spiderAnd the incomparable meekness of the chameleonFrom the womb of the mental floodWherein grope most in obscurityThis spring of the rainbow here springsRisen to the lofty heights of admirationLike the sun among the constellationsSpringing from where once reigned nothingnessTelling us in a world of despair and blacknessWe must need activate our spring of the rainbowTo add colours and pomp to our worldTo subtract miseries and mediocrity from within usTo emerge the pacesetters to our generationThat we may draw a map for the pilgrimsAnd the travellers of our land to followThat others may envy the spring of our rainbow.

I love poems of nature and this is one that is beautifully written!!!!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
